About us

Forth railway bridge in Scotland

Craig Stewart, our sole principal, is a chartered building surveyor with 20 years of experience within the construction industry.

Craig’s career in surveying started in 2004 as a trainee surveyor for a well-respected Edinburgh based damp and timber preservation contractor. This not only provided experience in the contractor role, but also provided early training in property surveys, report writing, works progress and inspections.

Shortly after this trainee role, Craig sat and passed the Property Care Association (PCA) certifications in Certified Surveyor in Damp & Timber in Buildings (CSDTB) and Certified Surveyor in Structural Waterproofing (CSSW). These certifications are evidence of a surveyor having the knowledge and skills required to identify, resolve and report upon problems relating to dampness, timber infestation and decay in buildings and are industry recognised.
